Lily Morton never ceases to amaze me with her wonderful writing style, witty dialogue and brilliant mind. This fabulous opposites attract romantic comedy, grabbed my attention right from the start, and held it for the entire book. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they were easy to care about too. I adored both lead characters, the snarky model Malachi Booth and the grumpy farmer, Cadan Landry. Malachi was not feeling well, but that did not stop him from going to his photo shoot on a farm in Cromwell. The farm did not impress him, but the farmer was nice to look at, though not friendly or nice. After his makeup artist works her magic, he is ready to go, but he does not last very long and the next thing he knows he is waking up in an unfamiliar bed with an unfamiliar woman hovering over him and only has vague memories of what happened. After he passed out, Cadan called the doctor and brought him into the house to get checked out and the doctor said he needed to be on bed rest until he recovered. Cadan busy with farm work had his mother come to help nurse him back to health, and she stayed until he was well enough. She could see there was something between her son and Malachi despite her son not seeing it yet. A still recuperating, Malachi was going to leave when she left, but Caden said he could stay longer, yep he was growing on him. Ir was great watching these two spending time together getting to know each other. I thought they were great together and for each other. And that cooking scene had me rolling on the floor laughing. This wonderfully plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn, but so worth the wait romance. Lily Morton, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride, loved your spring strings concept too.
