Not terrible, but nothing mind blowing. This book seems to center more on the base building mechanic of the RPG genre first, then character progression. The romance comes really late and was forced and it felt as if the author was ashamed he had to write it, and its only purpose was to drive one particular story point. Not upset I listened to it, but probably won’t continue the series.
