If you like situational comedy and have a passing knowledge of video games, this book is for you! I’ve read it twice now, and loved every minute of it. It’s so fun to read/listen to a story from the npc’s perspective! The narration is also well done- the narrators are expressive without being annoying to listen to, and inject so much life into the characters.

A few things I really liked: the ridiculous side character names, the way Qube rationalizes every insane thing the Chosen One does, and the way this book conveys a believable male/female friendship without any overtones of eventual romance. That’s so rare! I’m really looking forward to the sequel.
