One of the most original in the genre.

The beginning threw me on my heels from the start and never let’s you get comfortable through the last line. Outstanding job of keeping the plot interesting. The characters are far from the cliche “everyman” types in most stories. Not super heroes, but necessary antiheroes. The character arcs and development was as interesting as the events around them.

I loved his other books I’ve listened to so far and this series is no exception. Rowdy may be a bit angry, but at least acts like man in spite of all the negativity against him. Looking forward to book 2.
