This story and Shard Warriors are probably my top picks for what GameLit really can be. This story is a fantastic and accessible gamelit piece, fueled by a colorful cast of characters and a very fun driving lore.
The narrator does great. He doesn’t bat an eye at the goofy bits and gives great gravity to the serious bits.
My one gripe is that even for me, the litrpg aspects get a little dense and repetitive. Its not horribly arcane, but I did find myself skipping 30s here and there.
