The characters use profanity constantly and casually. Even the artificial intelligence running the dungeon tries to out swear the main character, a former sailor with the Coast Guard. If incessant vulgarity is a deal breaker for you, then don’t start this series. Otherwise, you won’t be able to stop listening to this excellent story of a man and his girlfriend’s cat who try to survive the apocalypse when intergalactic aliens seize the Earth and force the survivors to compete in a multi-tiered murder dungeon televised across the universe.
I have a hard time believing the narrator is just one person, as his voices are distinct and include a wide range of both male and female characters. This book has some of the absolute best narration I have heard.
