Too many sidequests hindering the plotline. I was kind of hoping he would just go on a grind fest and level up a bunch.

Spoilers Below

There was a lot of PR stunt things going on. Doing quests, side quests, and a lot of other red herrings. Spend an hour buying things at the merchant, an hour or two on a side quest where Carl didn’t actually kill anything, and not as much comedic effect as the first book.

IDK I was expecting a bit more but the book just didn’t hold my attention. I feel like this book could have just been tacked onto the last half of the first book instead of having to spend 2 credits for two different books.

They spend more time on their pet Mongo than leveling up themselves. It was stressed multiple times how important it was to get stronger and to get views and then the whole book felt like side quests and a long conversation about trading, casinos, and what to expect far into the future in 8 more floors.

How are they gonna make it to the other floors if they don’t level up. 🤔 😕 They keep stressing all this and then just expect their viewers to pay for everything.
