This is the first series, third book, I’ve read/listened to by Vi Carter. It was definitely darker than the other two. My heart squeezed tight several times. I thought I’d be sick once. This is the first mafia romance that has made me think… yes! The tension is high throughout. Richard, Jack, and Shay have a complex relationship. Perfection for this dark read. Richard and Claire had a HEA? So much is up in the air. I have to believe it all turns out okay.
Ada Sinclair and Scott Rose were excellent narrators. Their performances were emotional and it rolled like a movie in my head. Perfection.
