The enemies-to-lovers trope has always been my favorite. And I enjoy snowed-in stories, though I must admit that at this point, I’m a little tired of same old-same old. This one is a little different & fairly realistic, while managing to be pretty funny as well.

Penny & Chase have been frenemies since jr high for reasons to be revealed. Imagine their chagrin at finding themselves stuck together in a cabin during a blizzard. Penny is surprised to find that the old hurt is still there & doesn’t want to concede anything to Chase & his annoying teasing. The initial sparks between the two are more ire than interest, but as things progress, so does their relationship.

It takes a bit of drama for them to finally open up to each other, and it is very satisfying! I haven’t had time to really read the last few days and this really hit the spot – light, happy & entertaining!

*Romance level: passionate kisses, a little minor innuendo & a few surprised skimpy clothing encounters but nothing graphic – qualifies as spicy sweet or steamy clean

[The narrator does a great job with the voices & keeping them distinct enough to tell which character is speaking without sounding strained or off – it was a pleasure to listen to the audio version]
