Very good book on MSBP. I’m from Texas and had never heard of Tanya Reed and her atrocities. Women who commit this crime should receive extra-long sentences when a child is betrayed in the ultimate way, it is extra heinous when the mother is the perpetrator. One place a child should never have to worry about evil being done, is in his mother’s arms.
Greg Olsen is a masterful writer who has a firm grasp on writing true crime. I would imagine keeping the chronological order, remaining as unbiased as possible, and interviewing numerous people, all with differing opinions and stories to tell, is a challenge for even the most seasoned writer. Mr. Olsen does not disappoint.
And, last, Kevin Pierce never lets us listeners down. I especially enjoyed his performance of Tanya’s way of speaking. While he doesn’t come off as trying to sound like a woman, which would be impossible with his gruff voice, he is able to convey her machine gun fast way of speaking. It automatically called to reference in my mind what she sounded like without me ever hearing her speak. I always enjoy buying a book that has been narrated by Mr. Pierce. I never have to wonder if the narrator will annoy me or not.
