Not sure why anyone complains about the second book, it’s not like the stakes are high, it’s a VR/AR LitRPG story. This one was more focused on the semi harem romances happening and frankly Cooper did a good job with it, it’s actually believable for the most part and I’ve actually known men and women who act like the characters. Chase is coming into his own and becoming more confident and desirable guy so the girls falling for him works. The only way I’d scoff at his harem is if all the girls settle with sharing him without some sort of conflict and handling which he has foreshadowed in this volume. I look forward to the next one and I greatly appreciate the male and female voices actually handling both male and female characters, I’ve been waiting for someone to actually do that for years, always felt like Michael Kramer and Kate Reading should do their books like that.
