The dialog was awful. but, “Whatever.”
As character development goes, what’s less than one-dimensional?
Except for the lead character. Unfortunately, he was so unappealing I could have cared less if he got killed off in the first book, except that it would have been nice because it would have saved me listening to the other eight books.
Why did I bother you might be wondering? Well, it was a box set. And, usually, the writing gets better as the story in such a long series develops. So, I clung unrewardingly to hope. Well, that and there was a degree of suspense in each book which made the story worth two stars.
Personally, it’s disappointing that so many people are giving this sort of immature (how old is the author anyway?) writing so many stars.
