The narrator’s voice is excellent. I’m actually going to look for more work he’s done because I just like his voice.

The story was okay, but things escalated to violence way too quickly. The main character’s willingness to murder folks (who arguably deserved it) without being phased by it came across a bit sociopathic. It also kinda reads like Qanon-lite fanfiction. Not sure if that was the author’s intention or their persuasion. Definitely not the worst book I’ve come across, but I likely won’t get the sequels.

This Tennessee boy is sticking to SciFi and Fantasy.
