Sheilagh McCullough plus Dr. Alec Devereaux equals perfection. This book has everything from laughter to romance. But most importantly, it has a male love interest with a British accent. Yum! I adore Sheilagh. She’s a lost 24-year-old, totally unsure of herself and her life. She was real and relatable. Alec is intellectual, masculine, confident, and attentive. He really cares about Sheilagh and her well-being. He goes above and beyond to help her with her issues. That’s real love. The smeggsy times were sensual and meaningful. Lydia Michaels wrote this story in such a way that you couldn’t help but be captivated. And the McCullough family is just so quirky and fun, as well as relatable. I loved everything about this story and will be buying the rest in the series.
Lucinda Gainey was cast perfectly for this role. Her timing, pitch, pace, and tone were excellent. The characters development and depth were written beautifully and needed a narrator that would bring that to life. That’s exactly what we get with Lucinda. Her characterizations were spot on. I felt connected and intrigued the entire listen. I highly recommend the audiobook version of British Professor. Thank you to Valentine PR for gifting me this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
