For the life of me, I cannot understand all the positive reviews on this. The story is extremely lacking. It just plods along with nothing substantial ever happening. It just reads as some 13 year old boy’s inner fantasy put into story form.
The biggest thing I couldn’t get past is how all these purchased slaves were so willing to be just that…slaves. No trying to fight back. They weren’t even unhappy about being slaves for more than five minutes. Within 10 minutes they were all trying their hardest to please their master.
I listened to about 1/2 the book before returning it.
NOT recommended.
