This book is full of great and memorable characters and a variety of instances that make you consider the true meaning of the word “hero” without ever stating this intention outright. The relationships and plot are intriguing and logical. I enjoyed reading about smart characters doing smart things and finding success because of it.
A couple things that did annoy me:
– The narrator uses the same voice for all minor male characters, including the pawn shop customer with the sketchbook, Mr. White, and a variety of others.
– Some of the “harem” sentiments seemed a little forced and began to sound like a bad teen fantasy.
