As a huge fan of the post-apocalyptic genre, it is refreshing to see a narrative brought to the reader from the perspective of a prepared protagonist.
This second entry into the series is a rewarding payoff for the investment of book one and I really came to care about all of the central characters. It was well written, and informative, without being preachy. Kevin Pierce is phenomenal as the narrator. Highly, highly recommended.
