The sound booth theatre team crafted another masterful performance.
The book (felt like it:) had less story this time around compared to the other books (especially compared to Terresa and Vortena). However, it was an amazing performance, well acted, scripted, etc.
I wished there had been another longer sequence, such as when Boxy was in his Sandman persona. The derailed mag-rail would have been a phenomenal chase sequence or exploration plus ambush moment where Boxy’s latter interactions with the citizens would have had much more ominous undertones. Hell, maybe some of the focusing crystals for his singularity spell could have been found as a magical component powering the propulsion of the train.
I would not have minded a split chapter following Fizzy and/or The Silver Hand in all of this. Maybe even having an epilogue having Mrs. Slythe storming some top secret government watchdog archive center and discovering some information on project L.E.G.A.C.Y. Now that would have been a most intriguing cliffhanger for the next book!
Overall, 4 out of 5. But as a selection of the series, 3 out of 5. Looking forward to the next book being even tastier.
