There are so many bad novels in this genre but I’ve never gone wrong with Goodwin and Pierce! I’m enjoying this one, and will read the rest of the series. I will say, however, and I understand that Rome can be an easy target, but the conversation about the Pope in Chapter 18 was disturbing for me. Why not go after another religion other than Muslims or Catholics in this genre?
