I was looking forward to this book, but not far into it, I found that it fell flat for me. Another “preacher” who abused his power and a wife who let it happen to several foster children. I wanted more from a story that was set in the Smoky Mountains with a park ranger and a woman who had made a new life for herself, but it felt fake and forced the whole way to me. Tiny tidbits of a secret that did nothing but aggravate me. I love clean, well-done Christian mysteries, but this one wasn’t for me.
