The Rifle is the best book I have read on WWII. Every chapter was a first hand account of battles in WWII from individual soldiers, Marines and airmen who now in their twilight years having lived full lives after their war tell their stories. The rifle signed by more than 150 veterans who served and sacrificed tell heart wrenching and breaking as well as uplifting accounts of their time in war. The book is written in a wonderful way by the author who made road trips across the country to sit down and Interview each and every veteran who signed the rifle. What a wonderful idea the author had to do this project. I have not read another book like it. I highly recommend this book. Our veterans should always be relented for their service and sacrifice and this book pay one hell of a tribute to them all.

Well done!
