This is more a review of the series so far…. I want to be harsh because it does a lot of dumb things unapologetically, but I also can’t stop thinking about it in very positive ways. Non-stop infantile humor, gore, and colonialism allegory, and I can’t put it down. I’m suddenly emotionally invested in the weirdest things, like cats in tiaras and sunglasses, or feathered dinosaurs, but like a perfect train wreck in space (technically that was book 3) I cannot look away. I’m hooked.
