I always come back to Jeremy Robinson titles because they always entertain me. They are well-paced and are good company for whenever I listen.

I turned to this book after listening to “Ball Lightning” by Cixin Liu. Cixin Liu has some great ideas . . . but sometimes listening to his books just is not entertaining. In fact, sometimes slogging through that (or parts of “The Three Body Problem” series) felt like work. Robinson never leaves me feeling that way.

This book was a great take on the “is this a simulation or reality,” which was the basis for “The Matrix,” “The Thirteenth Floor,” “The Source Code,” etc. But it was a fresh take and had a great story. The characters were great and the plot took some fun turns. And the pop culture and sci-fi references are always fun Easter Eggs.

Give this a listen – you will be entertained.
