The Cookbook is more of an underground guide, carefully hidden from the alien overlords and management, sharing information from various generations of the Crawlers who have made their way through the dungeon’s challenges. While many things change from season to season, the basic geography and some features remain consistent. It’s like a theatrical staged every year with a few changes created by drunken monsters.
I have all 5 of these on Audible as well as Kindle. I find them very appealing, and with the wide cast of actors that give an incredible range of voices to their characters, I listen to them frequently.
Since I read these in Kindle format first, it was rather startling that the voices were SO very different. Now I can’t imagine them any other way.
