- Where does Super Sales on Super Heroes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
- This book reminds me a lot of the Hard Luck Hank series, or the Bobiverse. Its an interesting story with compelling characters. Its definitely a set up for a longer series of books, but it has nice concise sub arcs that make you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth, not just a prequel cliffhanger.
- Who was your favorite character and why?
- The main character (Felix) is truly clever. His power set, and character development through the course of the book is interesting and fun, but he also underlines a simple but profound question: is he a good guy, or a bad. As he develops you start to realize your watching him become, basically, a stereotypical super villain with a trap infested secret lair but that whether or not he’s a villain depends entirely on the point of view of the observer.
- Any additional comments?
- This was an impulse purchase for me and was absolutely delightful. The only thing I’d say that seems a little flawed is that everything in the book is pretty much reactionary on the characters part. Even at the climax, you’re not sure exactly who he’s fighting or even why, but even with that, you’re rooting so hard for him and the rest of the main characters your just happy to be along for the thoroughly enjoyable ride.
