I gave this series a chance and I expected a lot. I really like the Jason storyline and the side quests. I was expecting the same type of writing. Instead I found a story about a self indulged guy that cared for no one else. He is not a like ale person and he is overly fixated on his dead wife. You can’t got ten minutes without hearing about her. It is so frustrating. I kept hoping through out the series that the main character would improve or learn to just deal with loss. He doesn’t care about how much damage he does or anyone else in the game. In the end I hope the author intended to set this guy up as a bad guy that Jason can destroy. I hope he doesn’t continue to try to argue that he is really a good person.
My advice is to find a short summary of this three book series and skip it. All you need to k ow can be summarized in a few bullets.
