I went in to this audiobook blind. I didn’t read the synopsis about the book. Just bought it since I have enjoyed other audiobooks from this author. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised. I freaking loved the fact the book was about older couples. Jonas is 50 and Alex is in her forties. It was so refreshing to see this dynamic. Most contemporary romance books are people in their 20’s or early 30’s.
I enjoyed the suspense of this book. Trying to figure out where the escaped convicts were hiding out and they were just under their noses. And then who on the outside was helping them. This book really kept my interest with the romance and the suspense.
Ada Sinclair was a new to me narrator and I enjoyed her rendition of Alex and Amma and the other female characters. Connor Crais is such a delight to listen to and I look forward to hearing more from him.
