- Would you consider the audio edition of Heart of Stone: The Stone Series, Volume 1 to be better than the print version?
- Since I have not read the book I cannot say. But I will say that this would be one that I wouldn’t mind having both the audio and book version. However, I will say that I’m pretty partial to this version.
- What did you like best about this story?
- I liked how Krystina seemed to be at times a little naive but she had enough in her to stand up to Alexander Stone. But he is temptation personified and we see her walls slowly come down.
- What about Lacy Laurel and Jeffrey Kafer ’s performance did you like?
- For me, Mr. Kafer had the perfect voice for Alexander Stone. I had no trouble picturing his character whenever I listened to his voice. I had a harder time with Ms. Laurel. There were times I liked listening to her and others I just couldn’t picture her as Krystina and thought her more as a narrator.
- Any additional comments?
- I tried to be true to our author and not compare her book to FSOG but that comparison kept creeping in. So if you enjoyed that other book you will most certainly enjoy this. There are differences so don’t make that mistake of making comparisons because it’s not fair to either author. But it is a great way to find a new author. It does end on a cliffhanger and I was glad to see that there is a second book that continues our couple’s tale. My disappointment was to see that it’s not available on audio (at least not yet). So all I can do at this point is keep my fingers crossed that this is something that will change.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Audio Copy of this book.
