I couldn’t get through the narration on this one. I listened to the sample, however I thought I could handle it. The narrator uses this infuriating soft tone that is overly breathy and monotone. There was very little feeling behind it. I found I didn’t care one bit what she was saying as the sound just droned on and I tuned out almost immediately. I think I made it to chapter 3 (if that) before I decided to cut my losses and spend my time on something else.
I can’t speak to the story as I have no idea what was happening. A quest of some kind followed by an attack maybe? I don’t know, I tuned out. Maybe I’ll read it on my kindle app, but listening is out of the question.
