I absolutely loved this story. It was perfectly balanced with romance, suspense & drama. IMO, this story has a “Heartland” feel to it. I love that this story reflects their age but doesn’t make the book about age. Their chemistry was amazing and the sex was exactly right for the story. He was sexy and protective & she was feisty and strong willed. Ex-military, cowboys & terrorist threats, this book has everything. I’m excited about a few of the secondary characters and hopefully their stories are coming.
Although I believe there were a couple of minor issues, The performance from both narrators was wonderful. They really captured the characters and their emotions.
This is book 1 with an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this book.
