Such a fantastic new series start. Alex has just bought a farm for her animal rehab. She gets a call about a horse that is injured and goes out to see what she can do. There she meets Jonas and he definitely doesn’t give a great first impression. Later Alex is called by the local vet to go to High Meadow ranch and see if she can’t help with a horse they have their. Little does she know the owner is Jonas and the horse is the one she had gone to help out. Jonas knows that he didn’t give a great first image of himself but he was having a bit of a bad day. Slowly he gets Alex to see he isn’t what she thought he was. As he starts to get her to open up a bit, him and his men are called upon to help find some escaped convicts. This story kept me guessing till the end what was going to happen. Loved the romance of these two. Also loved seeing Alex interact with her son and how protective he was of her. Such great writing and a great story. Cannot wait for the next book in this series! All the side characters where well done and can’t wait to know more about them.
The narrators did a great job. It was my first time hearing either of them. Conner was great and Ada was good just wasn’t a huge fan of her male voices but still good. Totally easy to listen to the two of them and follow the story.
