Yes, life is hard and these are definitely real things that happen to people. However, this book justifies, romanticizes, and glorifies paedophilia.

It’s one thing to present the situation, it’s another to graphically describe sexual encounters between a 13 year old and the the 25 year am who has groomed her since age 8. Like Wavy in the book, I feel that the author uses graphic description of the sexual encounters for shock value. Also talking at length about a 14 years breasts is gross.

Conveying that a man’s feelings for a youth are justified because he’s lonely and she’s nice to him is truly disgusting. Kellen is a father figure who exploits his position to groom Wavy through her formative years and become her idol. To say this is a story of star-crossed lovers makes me physically ill.

The writing style is good. The story is poor. The narrator did a pretty good job, however she sometimes forgot who’s voice she was doing and it was little confusing.
