This is the 5th book featuring Chase Baker but you do not need to read the other 4 to enjoy this book. Chase is leading a Chinese journalist to "The Pit" to fin an artifact at that is all he knows and he cares to know as the money is good, but when they start to get shot at he changes his mind. Through some ingenuity they make it to the pit only to encounter the big-foot like creature who inhabits it. The rest of the tale keeps you reading and excited to learn what will happen next. The book is a little light on substance but is well written and keeps the action moving where you hardly notice. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
If you are looking for a story that was well thought out to tell a larger story this is not your book but if you want a thriller with exciting scenes and good descriptions this book will not disappoint.
