The final book in the Arden St Ives trilogy and it was a bit of a struggle to get Ardy’s HEA. There was a lot of time spent on secondary and even tertiary characters, that I really didn’t care for, though I guess it’s because the story is in Arden’s POV, and not the general sense for the reader.

I would have liked more of Nathaniel & Caspian, or even Caspian and his mother or anyone else, over George or anyone else. The book could have done without the, side quests, as I like to think of them, because they didn’t really add to the heartache that Arden was going through.

In the end though, I got what I wanted and what Arden needed, it cleaned up very nicely and believably too.

Joel does an excellent job narrating everyone’s parts, he has such a wide range of vocal ability and talent at accents, though as an American, I wouldn’t know if Scottish, Irish, Welsh, English, or any other accents were “good” or not anyhow. Thank you Alexis, and Joel, for taking us on this journey.
