The book over all has a good story line. But the author is all over the place. One chapter she’s writing about a 10 year boy. The next chapter she’s gone back 100 years and writing about the first hot air balloon. It’s this way through out the book. She seems to want to give a full history for her supporting characters which should not be necessary. The story is about a young boy that falls in love with hot air balloons and how that shapes his life through out his career in the military and there after.
While I’ve listened to the entire book I probably wouldn’t pursue others from the author as I don’t like jumping from one story to another. It’s as bad as channel surfing.
I received a free audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.
