What made the experience of listening to Hero of Thera the most enjoyable?
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

I have already read Hero of Thera in softcover format so I knew the story. But if anything, that made listening to this story even more enjoyable. Jeff Hays really brings this book to life and is a terrific narrator.

This is a story written by a gamer for gamers. I haven’t played a video game in over 20 years, but I play Dungeons and Dragons and this book is every D&D gamer’s vision and imagination brought to life. What if you were playing in a game and suddenly were in the game? What would you do?

But you don’t need to be a gamer to really appreciate this book. Nylund is a great storytelelr, and this is a fun story. If you expect deep meaning here, move along. But if you want a great story, stop and try this one.

What other book might you compare Hero of Thera to and why?
Hard to say, as LitRPG is not a genre I’ve done much, but Ready, Player One is the obvious comparison. It’s a comparison, though. Hero of Thera is a completely different book with an entirely different premise.
Which character – as performed by Jeff Hays – was your favorite?
I liked the first character, Hector. Since I had read the book previously, I had him envisioned in my mind before Hays started reading it.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
How would you play the game if you knew you were going to die?
