Would you listen to Super Sales on Super Heroes again? Why?
Yes, the concept is quite weird, what with the legalisation of slavery and everything… but the concept is pretty cool, and i don’t know if there were actually plot holes or not, but i’d be interested in listening to it again to try to fill in some of those gaps.
There’s enough battles and things going on that makes the story very enjoyable.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Fill in those plot holes, and provide some extra background to the apparent super villain that has taken over society.
Which character – as performed by Jeff Hays – was your favorite?
Lily, the black magic witch. Great character and believable.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I pretty much did. I had just come out of surgery so had a lot of time to do nothing. It was so addictive that i think i missed sleep due to constantly listening to more and more of it.
Any additional comments?
There are some major things that are just glossed over. I don’t know if i just missed it, or they really weren’t there. But a lot of the book is exploration of Felix’s (main character) powers and empire building… which to be honest, is pretty awesome.
The world is well set-up though, and I’m looking forward to a 2nd book, hopefully where we’ll hear more of the ‘glorious leader’ , the super-villain who has taken over society.
