Its been said but not enough Ryun and too much Zach…. and too many side stories. I can see where some of the side stories link to the main story but overall there were too many and mostly unnecessary. At the end of the side stories we got a 5 to 10 minute stat dump of whatever character they were following which annoyed me to no end. Towards the end I finally started to like Zachs story. I mean, he was the whole last part of the book. I had no choice lol. But given a choice I wanted to follow what Ryun was doing. Its almost as if the author didn’t understand why people liked the “villain” Ryun more than the “hero” Zach and spent book 2 trying to change that or redeem Zach but it was too late. Ryun is more interesting and compelling. I hope book 3 gives us more Ryun or at least a balance of the two.
