A well-written LitRPG, with the added bonus of having many positive characters, whose efforts give hope to the world. That was refreshing! I do hope the author considers a follow-on trilogy, again with Esil and Aleesya and more of the immersion we saw in volume one. Great job on the approach used to tell a grand story in and out of the online game. The narration is excellent, with the three voices working really well together.

My thoughts after finishing volume one: a happy read, fun and immersive. I very much enjoyed it. The main character is both thoughtful and determined, and his ability to care for others moves the plot along. That’s quite nice. The mechanics of life are fairly typical for the genre, but presented quite compellingly. The manner in which the main character learned about his past was extremely well-done. The author is skilled! I would have liked even more stats, and more information on spells.

I loved the second book the most, as the initial deep immersion was so effective, as well as the untangling of Esil’s past The changes to the main character’s life were most intriguing, and how he reacts to his improvements vs. the lives of those he left behind makes for a good plot and motivation. The development of the plot surrounding full immersion was well-done and clever. I enjoyed this episode in the world of Pangea Online most of all.
