As stated and a well thought out story with many twists. The quality of the narration is top notch and paired well with the flow and pacing of the story. Though ultimately it was a good listen, The reason for my 3 stars is that I don’t think I would recommend this book to people unless specifically asked about the title.
There is plenty if child torture and extrememly awkward to listen to fumblings of child minds in adult bodies (sped up growth, but mental maturity still that of their age 5-12selves). It does a really good job turning you into a staunch zenophobe and want death to most aliens, even if some do grow on you.
In the end, I think the last 4-5 hours or so made the journey worth the slog the the uncomfortable stuff early on and I will probably continue the series. Though If I knew what I was getting into, I probably would have never picked it up to be honost.
