Largely the story was intriguing. But at the end, I find it difficult to believe that such a group would opt to go off grid and on the run. Even if they stayed working for the government (like that had been in earlier books), they would have access to supplies, resources, money, health insurance, etc. Conceptually, I don’t think real people in that same situation would choose to willingly go on the run. I understand there’s a lot of fantastical things in the books, but I find this concept unbelievable.
