These stories are fun. Period. The SCT productions are the best audiobook productions I’ve heard – about 22 years or so.
All I can say is “hurry up and bring out the next one!”
Story-wise (no spoilers) this is the continuation of Carl and Donut’s crawl through the dungeon world that used to be earth. You have to read these (or, better still, listen to these) in order. They will not make sense otherwise.
Rate for me is that I was happy to listen to the whole series to date one after the other. I am not a bungee normally – I crave different genres. But not this time.
Production? If there were more stars I’d give them. The reader is perfect, the sound manipulations add to the story (instead of taking away as so many do – hint: books, not plays).
The producers do put out full cast productions- if they are really good they are like old time radio. But I like books – audiobooks. And this is an example of the best style.
So, if you like fantasy, sci-fi, rpg, or humor, this series has to be on your listening list.
