I was a bit dismayed by the first sex scene between Hawke and Tate.
Though I liked both characters equally by the midpoint of the book, I had difficulty at times liking Hawke, but I could feel compassion for him. Tate just made me want to Mother him. Such a sweet, kind man despite his horrific child and early adulthood.
Joel Leslie was as fantastic as ever with his narration. Every bit of the emotion the characters have, he expresses very vividly. I can’t get enough of listening to him. I’m well on the way, but someday, I will have everything he’s narrated.
