Mid teen moms who have the luxury of choice are rarely good moms. Most often they are just selfish moms. I was raised by one who tried her best and sacrificed so much. She was a kid who was clueless about raising a child.
The author obviously has no experience with trauma. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have blamed (which she did) the sacrificial lamb. If I can survive, so can you. That’s her philosophy. The why the ending was at the same time clueless and cliche.
