SPOILER ALERT…
This book is incredible (assuming you aren’t triggered by the difficult topics). I really love books written in this manner – each chapter offers a different perspective / timeline – and this book is no exception. Claire’s (Willow) story is incredibly well told and is heart wrenching. I did find myself completely annoyed with Heidi; however, my annoyance is strictly due to her declining mental status. It is so frustrating, but having a sibling with diagnosed schizophrenia, I can tell you that being on the sideline of a mental illness can be incredibly frustrating…Once I thought of Heidi’s decline in that context, I was no longer annoyed.
