I enjoyed it very much for the exceptionally intelligent writing. I love Boyd’s style and the intricate detailed world she creates. Also loved Keri Ann and hated Jack appropriately.
I loved the narrators. I thought the SC drawl was spot on… a slow melodic twang. I’m not why a few other reviewers disliked her voice but I quite enjoyed it and her talent of easily moving between distinguishable characters.
It is a cliff hanger (minus 1 star) and I’m not sure why since, as I stated in the review title, the storyline is predictable. Still I’m ok with it as the next book is already included in my membership and I enjoy the writing so much. Hope you do too.
