I listened to about an hour or 2 of this book and couldn’t be bothered to go on listening to it. The book seems to start in the middle of a story and doesn’t establish the characters or the premise of the story. As the story proceeds there is nothing in it that is engaging – a girl with newly minted powers out of her depth and that point emphasized several different ways over and over. No foreshadowing that something interesting may happen in the story if you keep listening – it just seemed like the book was going to be full of the main character getting used to harnessing her new powers on super natural creatures as well as getting herself into and out of sticky situations. Seems very generic and boring.
