I appreciate what the author was trying to say about the state of racism in America–it was just not a well told story. Too over the top with stereotypes. All the characters were so annoying. When performer read the children parts, you wanted to pull your hair out. Could not wait to finish this book. Even sped up the reading speed–never done that before.
