Both readers were fantastic. The voice of Jo was especially delicious. Throaty, rich.
The story is sweet and mostly believable. I don’t know anything about the author, but I could totally believe she is a lady-lover. THAT part rang true, including the endless hand-wringing and processing and cluelessness about their chemistry 😂. As well as the one, very accurate sex scene. It wasn’t long or detailed enough, but I guess this is a romance novel, not a… well, you understand.
I cast Lucy Liu as Jo and Emma Roberts as Emma (in my head). It worked so well that I’m hoping a director reads this and makes it a reality.
