It starts out as a benign, moderately enjoyable adventure, but it doesn’t take long for the bad to start. Women are objects for sex while the men go off and do the important work. The bad guy is a gay rapist. Gang rape is treated lightly. Men are all rapists at heart except for the nice guys.

There is no message here. Honestly, I only made it to the last third because I was waiting for a sign that the twisted worldview being penned was actually stripping something awful bare, revealing the dark parts of misogynistic society in a clever way.

No such luck. It’s all sincere. It assumes we are all what this book is – shallow participants in a toxic society where we are fellow perpetrators.

Nasty stuff and I would recommend it to no one.
